What other people think about Labtec Axis 711 Digital USB Mono Headset?
Work great
Bought two of these for friends to use over a VoIP application while gaming. They have zero complaints. Recommended.
poor sound quality
this headset was a waste of money, maybe it just had problems with my computer but the sound output was very low but people told me they could hear me over the mic. just fine. I usually wore a regular headset for sound or sent the sound to my speakers and just used the microphone part, after about a month I ended up breaking it so the mic is no longer attached to the headset, now in the market for a good one.
Great Headset
I use Skype to talk not only to my colleagues all over the United States and also to my parents in Japan. I like this USB headset so much that I am ordering it again. Not because it's broken, but because I want one for my home use.
What's good about this headset is that it goes into USB interface instead of speaker interface. If you have a speaker already, you'd have to unplug it and hook the headset in if the headset uses normal speaker interface. But for USB, that's not a problem. Even after using long hours, your ears won't hurt. Stereo one covers your ears too hard that my colleagues complain that their ears hurt.
So far, it never went bad or anything. The quality of the product is pretty good. Now that Skype is offering this feature that allows you to call all over the world with a minimal fee, I am getting one for my home!
